BGS

• 在bright observing time进行
• a flux limited sample of around 10 million galaxies
• r<19.5 (800 galaxies/deg^2)
• 19.5 < r < 20 (a secondary sample, 600 galaxies/deg^2)

Data Release

• Petal： A wedge of 1/10 of the DESI focal plane, containing 500 positioners/fibers going to a single spectrograph. The petal number is the same as the spectrograph number to which it is attached.
• Rosette: One of 20 non-overlapping subfields that compose the total observation field of the One-Percent Survey (sv3). Each rosette was observed at least 12 times during the One-Percent Survey to ensure high a fiber assignment completeness of at least 85% for ELGs and over 94% for the other tracers (BGS, LRGs, and QSOs).
• In DESI, spectroscopic productions are alphabetically named after mountains or mountain ranges. (Fuji,Iron)
